These guidelines exist to ensure fairness, safety, and trust for both Heroes and customers.

1. Who These Guidelines Are For

These guidelines apply to all Heroes (service providers) using the Taskee platform.

By registering as a Hero, submitting verification, or posting services, you agree to follow these guidelines in addition to Taskee’s Terms of Service and Policies.

2. Your Status as a Hero

Heroes on Taskee operate as self-employed independent service providers.

• Taskee does not employ Heroes

• Taskee does not guarantee work or income

• Heroes are responsible for their own taxes and National Insurance contributions

Nothing in these guidelines creates an employment, worker, agency, or partnership relationship.

3. Verification Requirements

To protect customers and maintain platform trust, verification is mandatory for all Heroes.

What verification involves Heroes may be required to provide:

• proof of identity

• proof of right to work in the UK (where applicable)

• additional documents depending on the service category

Verification is completed via Taskee’s secure verification process.

Important

• Heroes cannot post services or accept bookings until verification is approved

• Accounts or listings may remain inactive while verification is pending

• Incomplete, incorrect, or misleading documents may result in rejection

  • Taskee reserves the right to request updated or additional documents at any time.

  • Taskee reserves the right to suspend or terminate Hero accounts if verification requirements are no longer met or documents become invalid.

4. Insurance

Heroes are required to hold appropriate public liability insurance where applicable by law or industry standards.

Taskee does not provide insurance coverage for services booked through the platform. Heroes are solely responsible for ensuring they have adequate insurance coverage for the services they offer, including any public liability or professional insurance required for their activities.

Any insurance information provided by Heroes is for informational purposes only and does not constitute verification or endorsement by Taskee.

5. Posting Services

Heroes may only post services after verification has been approved.

When posting services: • provide accurate and honest descriptions

• set realistic pricing and availability

• upload service photos only (no ID or verification documents)

Misleading listings, false claims, or inappropriate content may be removed.

6. Bookings & Reliability

Heroes are expected to act professionally and reliably.

This includes:

• arriving on time

• honouring accepted bookings

• communicating promptly if issues arise

Repeated missed bookings, late cancellations, or no-shows may result in:

• warnings

• restricted access to bookings

• suspension or permanent removal from the platform

7. Cancellations

Heroes should avoid cancelling bookings except where genuinely necessary.

If a cancellation is unavoidable:

• inform Taskee support as soon as possible

• do not cancel directly with customers outside the platform

Excessive cancellations negatively affect trust and may lead to restrictions.

8. Quality of Service & Behaviour

Heroes must:

• treat customers and their property with respect

• perform services with reasonable care and skill

• communicate clearly and professionally

The following are not permitted:

• harassment or abusive behaviour

• discrimination of any kind

• misuse of customer information

• damage or theft

Serious breaches may result in immediate removal.

9. Payments & Off-Platform Work

All bookings and payments must be processed exclusively through the Taskee platform using supported payment methods.

Heroes must not:

• request or accept cash payments or any off-platform payments from Customers
• attempt to move, redirect, or complete bookings introduced through Taskee outside the platform
• share personal contact details for the purpose of bypassing Taskee fees or systems

This policy exists to protect both Heroes and Customers by ensuring secure payments, dispute handling, and platform safety.

Breaches of this section may result in:

• warnings
• temporary suspension
• permanent removal from the platform

10. Monitoring & Enforcement

Taskee monitors platform activity to maintain safety and quality.

This may include reviewing:

• customer feedback

• booking history

• cancellation behaviour

• reported issues

Taskee may take action where necessary to protect the platform and its users, including:

• issuing warnings

• limiting access to services or bookings

• suspending accounts

• permanently removing Heroes

11. Hero Rewards & Recognition (Pilot)

Taskee recognises and values Heroes who consistently provide reliable, professional, and high-quality service on the platform.

From time to time, Taskee may offer weekly or monthly rewards or recognition to active Heroes as a way of saying thank you and encouraging continued excellence.

How Heroes May Be Considered

Eligibility for rewards or recognition may be based on factors such as:

• number of completed bookings

• reliability and punctuality

• low cancellation rates

• customer feedback and reviews

• overall activity and engagement on the platform

All assessments are reviewed manually to ensure fairness.

Important Information

• Participation in the Hero Rewards Program is discretionary

• Rewards are not guaranteed

• Taskee may change, pause, or withdraw the program at any time

• The program is currently in a pilot phase and may evolve as the platform grows

The purpose of this program is to support and recognise Heroes who help maintain a fair, trusted, and reliable experience for customers.

12. Limitation of Platform Responsibility

Taskee acts solely as a marketplace platform facilitating connections between Customers and independent Heroes. Taskee does not supervise, direct, or control how services are performed and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of Heroes or Customers, except where required by law.

13. Updates to These Guidelines

These guidelines may be updated from time to time.

Continued use of Taskee after changes means you accept the updated guidelines.

Platform Fees

Taskee charges a platform service fee to support secure payments, customer support, and platform operations.

• A 5% service fee is charged to Heroes on each completed booking.
• A 5% service fee is charged to customers at checkout.

Fees are applied automatically and clearly shown before payment is completed.
